Terms of Service

2. What the service is

Always Connected is a private, invite-only app built for exactly two people — video and audio calls, messaging, shared photo memories, a shared whiteboard, and presence features. There is no public directory, no group chat, and no way to add a third participant to a pairing.

3. Eligibility & accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to use Always Connected. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your device and sign-in secure — the app-lock feature under Profile is there for exactly this. Access is admin-granted following payment arranged directly with us; it is not an in-app purchase or auto-renewing subscription billed through the App Store or Play Store, so store-specific subscription-management rules do not apply to it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for anything unlawful, harassing, or abusive toward your partner or anyone else.
• Attempt to access another user's account or another couple's shared space.
• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attack the service's infrastructure.
• Upload content you don't have the right to share.

5. Your content

You own the messages, photos, and whiteboard content you create. Using the app grants us only the limited license needed to store and transmit that content in order to run the service (e.g. via our processors, Firebase and Stream — see the Privacy Policy) — we don't use it for anything else, and we don't sell it.

6. Shared-space content is exactly that — shared

Because the app is built for two, most content (messages, memories, whiteboard) belongs to the shared space rather than to one person alone. If either partner disconnects the pairing or deletes their account, that shared content is deleted for both sides — the app warns you about this before you confirm either action. Each person's own account (separate from the shared space) is only removed if that person deletes it themselves.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete account. We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms, non-payment, or misuse that puts the service or other users at risk.

8. Service “as is”

The service is provided as-is, without warranties of uninterrupted availability. We rely on third-party infrastructure (Firebase, Stream) whose own outages are outside our control. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

9. Changes

We may update these terms as the product changes. Material changes are announced in-app; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
