2. Information stored on your device

Voltly stores charging diagnostics locally, in a database on your phone: battery level, voltage, current, temperature, charging status, plug type, session timestamps, peak and average wattage, the chargers you create and tag, and detected phone model information. It also stores app preferences such as onboarding completion, premium entitlement state, and theme choice. None of this leaves your device except as described below.

3. Information the app sends

• Anonymous charging telemetry. Voltly signs in anonymously on first launch so it can send anonymized charging telemetry, including device model, app version, rated wattage, and per-session charging stats (peak wattage, duration, temperature), to Voltly's servers. This is not linked to your name or email and is used to improve charger recommendations and per-device benchmarks across the fleet.
• Optional Google sign-in. If you sign in with Google, your charging history is additionally backed up to your account so it can be restored on another device. Signing in is never required to use the app.
• Beta feedback. If you send feedback from Settings, your email may include the app version, device model information, rated wattage, and the notes you write.
• Crash reports. Crash diagnostics (stack traces, device model, app version) are collected to keep the app stable.

4. Affiliate links

If you tap a charger recommendation, your browser opens a redirect link. The redirect service may receive normal web request metadata such as IP address, user agent, timestamp, and the product path being opened. Voltly may earn a commission when you purchase products through recommendation links; this does not change the price you pay, and recommendations are ranked by your measured data, never by commission.

5. Analytics: opt-in only

Voltly uses Firebase Analytics on an opt-in basis only. Analytics collection is disabled by default at the SDK level and only turns on if you enable “Share anonymous usage data” in Settings > About. When enabled, Voltly logs anonymous product-usage events: for example, which screens are viewed, whether a charging session completes, or whether a charger ranking is shared. No personal information is included, and you can turn it off at any time from the same setting.

6. Data deletion

You can delete all local Voltly data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app. Cloud backups tied to a Google sign-in are removed when the linked data is deleted. Beta feedback emails can be deleted by contacting us at the address below.

7. Changes

We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes are announced in-app, and the date at the top of this page always reflects the latest revision.
